Sustainability, Traceability and Quality

Sustainability

As we cherish the bounty of the ocean, we also advocate for sustainable sourcing of seafood. We are well aware of the fact that overfishing is a major driver in the drastic drop of ocean wildlife populations. At VS Seafood, we are very concerned about the health of the surrounding marine ecosystem, coastal communities and our planet.

We have implemented sustainable practices across every point of our supply chain. From using sustainable fishing techniques that make minimum or no negative impact on the existence of protected species like dolphins and corrals to ensuring wellbeing of coastal communities around us, sustainability is deeply interwoven with our operations.

The end consumer of our customers get to consume sustainably sourced wild seafood and feel good about their planet-friendly choice. Irrespective of rising costs and other challenges, we are determined to follow sustainable practices as we know that the benefits of sustainable fishing extend go a long way: they extend to livelihoods, human health as well as the environment.”

Traceability

Today, more and more traders want to know where their seafood comes from, mostly because their consumers are asking for that information as a result of rising demand for sustainably sourced food. At VS Seafood, we ensure the traceability of seafood from the point of sale to its point or origin. Traceability is vital in assuring food safety as it proves legality and verifies sustainability.
